FOCUS EVENT
Baltimore Launches NeighborWoods Campaign
This month, Baltimore community groups are banding together to  
celebrate NeighborWoods Month by planting hundreds of trees in  
support of the TreeBaltimore initiative. Jones Falls Watershed  
Association, Herring Run Watershed Association, and the Parks &  
People Foundation are kicking things off this weekend and will  
attract 200 volunteers to plant and care for 100-150 trees in the  
Better Waverly community at City College and at Johns Hopkins Eastern  
Campus. The groups will continue the momentum to plant trees at  
muliple sites throughout the October, and will celebrate volunteers'  
accomplishments at a community Greening Celebration on October 17.
