Tree-planting biggest in Super Bowl history
(Arlington, TX)- In preparation for Super Bowl XLV on February 6,  
participants in the Super Grow XLV program have planted more than  
6,500 trees in Dallas-area cities. The effort is an attempt to  
minimize the Super Bowl's impact on the local environment. NFL  
environmental director Jack Groh said North Texas's environmental  
initiatives, coordinated by Texas Trees Foundation, have been the  
largest in the history of the Super Bowl.

LOCAL STORY
Mayor plants tree to celebrate Urban Forestry Group
(Palo Alto, CA)- Dozens of families, volunteers, and former mayors  
joined Palo Alto mayor Sid Espinosa at a tree planting on Tu Bishvat  
sponsored by urban forestry group Canopy and the local JCC. The Mayor  
showered praise on Canopy, which is responsible for the lion's share

Youth Tree Team Coordinator, KIB
(Indianapolis, IN)- Keep Indianapolis Beautiful seeks a Youth Tree  
Team Coordinator to develop, manage, and monitor the activities of  
KIB's Youth Tree Team program. In addition to managing the day-to-day  
operations of the YTT, the YTT Coordinator will work with the  
NeighborWoods program to organize and lead tree plantings.
