Bankers learn climate science
(Washington, DC)- At the woods' edge, small groups of HSBC technology
managers, armed with clipboards and measuring tapes, meticulously
determine the circumference of specially tagged trees down to a tenth
of an inch. Though field science isn't in their job descriptions,
their employer, HSBC bank, wants them to understand climate change.

LOCAL STORY
Volunteers plant for shade at Baton Rouge park
(Baton Rouge, LA)- To provide much-needed shade for sports fields
where kids play all summer, Baton Rouge Green partnered with the
Recreation and Parks Commission and the Baton Rouge Soccer Association
to plant 70 trees with 80 volunteers, as part of the organization's
planning and celebrations for Arbor Day in Louisiana.

(Arlington, VA)- The Director oversees all aspects of the
Conservancy's efforts to prevent introduction of and reduce damage
from forest pests and pathogens in North America. The Director
