Jel and I last brought this up last year. Don=B9t remember what was going on
at the time, but it was something that got about 5 or 6 of us annoyed, just
like now, to say the least. Well, then a whole shit load of emails came in
saying they like the OT email, and OT topics are what set the gathering
apart from other lists. That we all have a wide range of interests, so on
and so forth, some going further to say that things like that are the reaso=
n
that most gatherers are like an extended family. There was also the argumen=
t
made that a lot of the topics are actually Killing Joke related as far as
religion and geo political topics go.
My thing was very similar to Rangecroft=B9s argument a couple of years ago, o=

I get enough shit from just running the site...and guess what...it is even
worse now that the band is actually active. But hey, I was told get over
it...so in comes the flood of OT.
I am actually shocked that someone hasn=B9t commented on how you just
contributed to the OT tally. Usually someone gets offended about this, and
goes off on that.=20
I agree with ya brotha, but I also understand where the =B3other side=B2 is
coming from, too. Personally, I think the OT discussions are cool, but when
you start calling each other out and shit like that, like the Culture Virus
post calling Alex out (yeah, I just did what I condemned...so sue me:-)),
are what sends, what could otherwise be a good topic, towards the shitter.
So maybe not OT, but the name calling posts should come to a halt.
