Hi Darrin - sorry we missed you, I didn't get your earlier mail until =
five minutes ago... Lisa, Mik & Paula, Iain & I and Sean off the list =
were there at Liverpool. The set was a little short compared to other =
nights, (due to the 10pm curfew), and it was probably the emptiest =
crowd-wise, but nevertheless a great show...

We'll be in the uni bar reasonably early tonight I hope. Haven't decided =
what to wear tonight, but probably green shorts over  colourful or =
glittery leggings, with a similarly garish top and I currently have very =
faded orange hair. (Need to get the hair dye out on Wednesday, when I =
have the first night in for about 2 weeks...)

Well, just got back from the Liverpool gig. Had a great time, crowd was =

little stuffy at first but soon got back into it. I found it kind of =
hypnotic=20
at first but I too got into it after a short time. I was stood right at =

front and it was the first time I've used ear-plugs, though when DARS =
played I=20
took them out as that was the track I was most looking forward to =
hearing live=20
for the first time and I wasn't disappointed :)=20

Anyway, for some reason I was expecting to perhaps recognise Lisa or =
Jane but=20
of course there was no way I could as I've never met them and never seen =
any=20
pics. Just in case you saw me, I think I had the only black long-sleeved =

Extremities tour shirt on plus the wife was with me and at over 6ft in =
her=20
heels you might just have seen her at least ;)

So, the gig? Fantastic. DARS was just amazing, and they even played =
Whiteout=20
which pleased me no end. The whole gig was right up there despite the =
fact the=20
place didn't seem as full as it could be. Anyway, we only went to this =
gig=20
right at the last moment, booking our tickets at 3pm today and picking =
them up=20
on the door. We'll be there at the Manchester gig, so if anyone wants to =
at=20
least say hello, let me know.=20

Just one for Alex, who always disagree with this but... They played =
Kings &=20
Queens tonight and it's the perfect example as I've always said, of why =
if you=20
like KJ, you HAVE to see them live as studio recordings are a mere =
shadow of=20
their liver performance. To me, K&Q is a reasonable studio track, but =
live it=20
takes on a whole different character and becomes, instead of a =
relatively=20
lightweight (for KJ), a true heavyweight with driving rhythms, pounding=20
bass/drums, complex melodies and an enthusiastic performance by Jaz.=20
