No worries Simon, it was great to put another face to a name. If I was a bit
muted, it may have had more to do with "end of tour blues" - from
Wolverhampton to Cardiff, I'd done 9 gigs in 12 days - from Roadmender to
Cardiff, it was 5 in 5 days !

I'll second that. I'd been up to Newcastle, Middlesboro and Sunderland for
midweek Chelsea games over the years, so I guess it was just a lack of
travelling companions which stopped me from previously going ooop norf for
UK tours with the Joke. The last couple of weeks probably got as obsessive
as any other (meaningless) pursuit I'd wasted my time & effort on over the
years. At least this time, I've been amongst kindred souls. No way out but
forward go ... roll on Spring 2004 !

So, just revel in it, you lot on the other side of the pond ... you lucky
people ...
