>lushness for a more Eurodiscoey vibe.
To me it's the music of strippers!
There's a real sexiness to it, ("stick your dirty angel face between my legs
and knicker lace") especially the opening track - I can envisage a small,
smokey red hued club ala David Lynch stylee with beautiful women wearing
little more than a bored expression, slinking round poles.
Hmmmm.
Nice warm place....
Anyway, back to the planet...
I love both albums.
I picked up a promo of the 1st in a small record shop in Manchester just
before it was first released
I walked through the door, it was playing it and I walked straight up t the
counter and said "whatever that is, I'll have it" to which he bemoaned that
it was his only copy but he handed it over.
What a great tale. (and you want me to come to Preston?)
Hey! C'mon Gatherers!
Wake up, there's more...!
Anyway, I was rather surprised by the second as it was so completely
different.
Still, it's brave to go in such a completely different direction and that
Alison Goldfrapp woman's as mad as a box fo frogs. Which is nice.
