   How about Annie Lennox or Kate Bush? Or with the Pet Shop Boys a la Electronic to the 37th level.  Been listening to (best of) Kate Bush to bed for two nights now...nothing compares to her.  Why Madonna instead of KB - successwise? 
 
   Would Geordie object playing to John Paul Jones' bass? 
Recall the live versions of 'Dazed and Confused' and 'No Quarter' from ThSRThS.
