I heard that same story on daytime tv a few years ago.
Richard and Judy told it that their researcher had done it at a wedding.

Thing about urban myths is they have to start somewhere...
I mean, my uncle was the guy who was banging that fellas severed head on the 
car roof.

i know the gathering rules the world but this is wierd....
remember a while back we were swapping embarrassing stories and someone (was
it alexinnyc?)
  told a story about a friend of theirs who was at their girlfriends house
trying to impress here parents, when he had an unfortunate lavatory incedent
which ended with the guy fishing out his own excrement from the bog and
flinging it out of the window where it landed on the conservatory roof

well a new BBC sitcom used that plot last week!
"the worst week of my life"

so is that story an old urban myth or is someone on this list writing
sitcoms?
