[kj] OT any advice from the handy me & women out there

       you will prolly wana check your building codes,mainly so you dont use a timber that will get eatin by nasty lil wood 
munching, pests..(will tend 2 make shelving fall down at surprising
 rate!!)..any hard wood's a good start, but usually a bit pricey
in our neck of the globe anyway, prolly yours 2. Duno what
flavour timber's you have access to, but your local timber merchant,
could be helpfull, an i say 'could be' cause 90% of the f#*kers
dont know shit..or just can't be bothered..(i guess cause their at
work!)
  Best idea..call a couple of local builders..or just one..Have
them call round an give ya a quote..make sure its free..tell em 
what your after..an sit back, an take note!!!!!!!pick his brain
hands on, sorta thing!..then when he calls,back wif da quote..
tell em sorry your a ripoff..or not.haha, you'll think of something.
  Then set to work,...drill, an screw everything, (eeewwwww)
 an build it strong my friend, sounds like VERY precious cargo.

or line your clothing closet with sheets of Cedar to keep moisture and moths 
out etc.  Is there anything like that to keep in mind?  Or is that not 
really an issue?  I mean I understand sturdiness, etc.  But I am talking 
about a particular wood or treatment that helps the longevity  of the media.
