  I was reading an interview with a guy who'd done some work with Eldritch (cant for the life rember who now but he also worked with the Psychedelic Furs), and in it he mentions that Eldritch was the most clever person he had met.  He has a couple of Phds, or something along those lines, can speak a number of languages and can complete the time cross word in under 10 minutes.
