That is a false statement.If a person regards something as extreme then it
is.Because for example:
    If I were walking up Ben Nevis(A Mountain/Hill, ignorant, short-sighted
,We are the world ,Americans)with Chris Bonnington(Mountaineer).I would,But
he would nt regard it as extreme.So we both shared the same
experience,Extreme for me, but not for him.So extremes cant be measured,It's
down to the individual's experience's.What's extreme for one person is
normal for another.
  So if someone regards something as extreme, it is.

P.S. Chips aren't battered
Someone got there "Sausage in batter" confused with there Chips.
