This Mortal Coil are not a band.It was conglomerate of various people on the
4AD label. All the songs have different people on different things.
So the "song to the siren" song was released under the project heading
"This Mortal Coil" but the only people to play on the song were the Cocteau
Twins.
So "This Mortal Coil" were like a compilation album but all under the
same heading.
AND the Cocteau Twins have released that song under their own name,in
compilations.

But Pete, it says that This Mortal Coil CONTAINED members of the Cocteaus
and others. It is not the Cocteaus. Ya Plank!
Hereinafter I believe that you should be known to all as TEFLON PETE. Cos
fuck all seems to stick to you my boy!

Read this and weep, Alex
"A cover of a Tim Buckley song, this is I believe the only radio hit Cocteau
Twins has had and ironically it is not under their own name! This Mortal
Coil was a 4AD project, with people from Dead Can Dance, Pixies, Belly,
Cocteau Twins, and so on. Song to the Siren is thus nothing but Fraser and
Guthrie making lovely music under another name. With just vocals and guitar
this is more like an ordinary song than anything else they have done
together in my opinion."
I shall take great pride in the fact that I am more knowledgeable than a
Journalist working for a World-wide International news magazine.
