Wasn't there difficulty in finding a drummer who had an understanding of the qabalah, after Big Paul left?
You know, the primary timings, 7 over 23 etc? ;]
lol.

Well ... hey, that told me didn't it?! Sorry to offend your purist sensibilities ... but that naive first attempt at Eastern influence in Jihad (and it was undoubtedly further hamstrung by being in the worst era for naff eighties production) might well have been the original trigger for the Eastern influence that you refer to, which was to develop and appear (albeit only briefly) in places in the next couple of albums, Pandemonium in particular - and hey, we all have to start somewhere, even Jaz Coleman hee hee ....

chuckle, yes, it did.
ed - if you're really into 'jihad' you should get the 'beyrouth edit',
only available on the 'america' cd single! i still maintain it's a
dreadful piece of crap. and hardly an indication of how diverse KJ
are, since it's entirely jaz coleman and therefore even less worth of
the KJ label than OtG.
i agree with tim, though, i do enjoy the eastern influence on KJ
tracks, something that wasn't really in evidence much on the last two
albums.
