I promised myself that I wouldn't get into this but . . . . . .
Compassion is what makes us human, the ability to empathise with another's
pain makes us what we are.
If the sight of smoke blackened people streaming out of tube stations in
varying states of shock and pain after the bombings (instigated in
retaliation to a war in which they had no say and no power to stop) didn't
cause any feeling in you then I feel sorry for you, you obviously lack
something in your life to care and worry about.
I was going to post a list of all the people who have died in suicide
bombings since 7/11 (God I hate that term!) but realised that:
A. It would clog up everybody's mail boxes
and
B. I couldn't provide a corresponding list of people who have died in Iraq
This does raise an interesting question though, do you feel any compassion
for the dead Iraqis or are you completely devoid of feeling?
