This is so true. I had an interview last week with MTV News.Com that 
went -- bizarrely -- really well. They told me to come back in a week 
after familiarizing myself with their website. Fine. So, over the 
weekend, I keep checking in with the site just to see what sort've 
stuff they do (lots and lots of teenybopper bullshit -- surprise). I 
hear, I guess, on Sunday about Link's passing, and go over to the 
MTVNews site. Nothing. Not a fucking sausage. I check back on it on 
Monday. Lots of notes about 50 Cent and Green Day, but not a fuckin' 
sentence about poor Link.

Okay, now granted, Link is not familiar to MTV's demographic, but STOP 
ME IF I'M FUCKIN' WRONG, but the man INVENTED the fucking power chord. 
Rock may be in its death throes, but I'll be damned if Green Day and 
company aren't still employing the power chord to this goddamn day.

RESPECT IS DUE.
