Hello Music Lovers,

It's the last in the series already and what a ride it's been! I'm not
taking my foot of the pedal though and this week I've got another roomful of
talent for your televisual delight!

I'm delighted to welcome back DAVID GRAY. 1998's 'White Ladder' sold in
excess of six million copies and firmly ensconced David in the nations
psyche as a talented and entertaining songwriter. He's back with a new
number one album called 'Life In Slow Motion' and he'll be performing hits
from this fabulous album such as "The One I Love" in the studio.

Bright young things THE RAKES are fast emerging as one of the most exciting
young London bands to come through in recent years. Lead singer Alan Donohoe
dances and sings like Ian Curtis on speed and their angular and catchy songs
are fast becoming indie anthems.

Making her debut UK TV appearance is Jerusalem born YASMIN LEVY. She revives
the most beautiful and romantic songs from the Ladino / Judeo-Spanish
heritage and mixes it with Andalusian Flamenco. She has a beautiful haunting
quality to her voice that's not to be missed.

THE NATIONAL are five native Ohians who currently reside in New York. They
write melodic and beautiful tunes about 30-something confusion. There's two
sets of siblings in the band as well and believe it or not this appearance
on Later will be the first time that they've ever been on the telly!

Sheffield born and bred RICHARD HAWLEY, could well be Britain's finest
songwriter. But he insists his mind is full only with "confused thoughts and
Guinness". When he sings, he does so in a voice that's deep and low.

And last but not least, with my RHYTHM & BLUES BAND I'll be joined legendary
soul singer, the King of Soul, SOLOMON BURKE!

will be on Friday 2nd December at 11.35pm on BBC 2.
