"I shouldn't have to buy a state-of-the-art sound system "
I just bought some $US 50 speakers for my computer and the sound
difference is unbelievable, although my original speakers were cheap little
tin pot things. The speakers are only small but the sound is immense, even
if I turn them half way up the house windows start vibrating. The sound is
so much better then my medium range stereo system stereo , which cost 15
times the amount the little computer speakers did.
