Dark Forces may be a bit on the filler side of things,
but it's a damn sight better than the embarassment
that is Invocation.
And Asteroid is fucking stormer. It's a classic. Check
out how stoked everyone was on it on the DVD. You
think Light Bringer would elicite that kind of
response? I couldn't hum a note of it if someone put a
gun to my head!
Before KJ2003, i realistically expected nothing,
especially in the mediocre wake of the 2 albums that
preceded it. But it blew my expectations out of the
water. And it raised them a bit. So, yeah, i was
expecting a little more. But we're back to the muddled
murk of Pandemonium/Democracy. KJ2003 is the best
album since Extremities and i can't explain why. I'm
sure Andy Gill had a hand in tightening things up and
making things sound cohesive though.
