Discipline would be my fave of that era. The Sylvian/Fripp stuff is absolute
quality - love it to bits, especially the live Damage. KJ fans may like to
hear 'Red' - I thought someone had ripped off Geordie, but it was recorded
1974...
A bit muso at times, but immersion in it removes that effect - fucking
pioneers!!!

The DISCIPLINE-ear `Crimson (with Tony Levin and Adrian Belew) is
stupendous.
"Sleepless" on THREE OF PERFECT PAIR is one of my all-time faves.

I'm not a Crimson fan, but there is some fantastic stuff on Discipline-
try 'Thela Hun Ginjeet' for a taster. Belew's vocals make them sound like a
much more guitar-oriented Talking Heads.
Fripp's first album with David Sylvian is fantastic though. The best
song is a b-side ('Endgame') that wasn't put on the album (IIRC), but it's a
great song.

andy summers, very dark and evil.

Tim, I'm sure you'd like a bit of Crimson. I suggest: 'Starless &
Bible Black' album for 'Frakture' or 'Red'
album for the title track at least! Also, Levitation & Chameleons
for progressiveness. But not big wank-off
solos that last a fucking month. Plenty of solos in Crimson, but all
bizarre - no wanking!!!!

Oddly enough I find KJ have quite a few fans who are also fond
of Prog(ish) things . .
I wonder why?
(ELP are crap by the way)
