Symbols are actually more powerful than the written word. E.G. their use in journalism..It's called metonymics. The 'idea' is already mentally mapped.

     You are ignoring one very important point. Anyone who has ever been associated with the swastika has suffered and have gotten their comeuppance. All the Nazis of the second World War , Charles Manson and the Indian restaurant owner . Anyone who has ever been associated with it suffered because of it.
    It's only a shape and  ultimately that's all it is, a shape ,. And its about time intelligent people put all this mystical and magical bollocks where it belongs, in fantasy land. Let Harry Potter deal with magical things and get  living in the real world . Its just a shape and shapes DONT have no magical qualities .
