[kj] OT: Arctic Monkeys

I'm not sure whether I like the Artic Monkeys because of what they sound
like or because of who they are. They are relatively local to us - 3 of
them went to the local college (Barnsley college), and the drummer
worked in the local Next (I'm fairly convinced that he was joking with
my 5 year old daughter on one visit). The village where they live
currently is half-way between where we live now and where we are moving
to shortly (hopefully).

Listening to the album, I just wondered what the general consensus was?

>From obscurity to 2 number 1 singles and the fastest selling debut
album ever (I'm assuming that's UK only) would usually put me off.
>From not wanting to jump on the band wagon, I must say I'm well and
truly on it, hurtling down the motorway head out of the window, tongue
lolling & tail wagging.
Intelligent, witty writing and thoroughly refreshing, I gotta say DO
believe the hype.

But that's just my opinion...
