Atkins typical process of recording (he has talked at length about this) is 
to record everything.  And then splice everything up and, essentially, 
sample everything.
So the song will be played through normally and then Atkins will take the 
one guitar riff from the verse and cut and paste.
Which can be pretty common in big studio recordings.  But they are usually 
done a little more....tactfully (not as obvious).  Atkins like to take the 
natural element out.  And this way you have more of a dance/trance/whatever 
pattern except it is with real guitars, drums, etc instead of everything 
coming out of a sampler.
Hence why some songs sound processed or hollow and why some can drag on 
tooooo long (how ong does that drumming outro need to be 2 
minutes....uh..okay).  And the person really has to know what they are doing 
to make it sound natural.  And have some high end gear and software.

Never mind his business matters or the way he minds his Ps and Qs

As far as Hosannas there are one of two things to improve the album 100%
1. Better production.mix
2. Length

It's a good album it just could be a LOT better with more time and effort 
put into it
