[kj] KJ v Julian Cope

[Alex Smith]

The last time I saw him was circa 20 MOTHERS (at the since-bricked-up WestBeth Theatre here in NYC), but that was just him (no backing band at all...just Julian). That I'm aware of he hasn't been back since, and that was what -- `95? `96?

I saw him prior to that on the PEGGY SUICIDE tour, which was positively GODLIKE.

Regarding what Cope had to say about Killing JOke, he just made a very dumb joke about Jaz Coleman's name (calling him the jazzy coal man) and fretted about Jaz's dabblings in the occult, claiming Jaz had put a hex on him or something like that.

Water under the bridge by now, I'd hope.
