In a week in which I had a major row at work, my team got relegated, Rooney gets injured and I turned 40 seeing Killing Joke seemed like the perfect thing.  Actually ignore the melodrama!  I enjoy rowing with my boss "The Duck",  I expected my team to go down, Rooney will make it and turning 40 was not too bad and had a great night - could have done without the posters of me all over the area but still!  Thanks for the birthday wishes PW!!  

Disappointing turnout. Despite a few techincal hitches and a rather unplesant moshpit during Hosannas it was pretty good.  Not as good as Brum last year but still very enjoyable.  Georgie I thought looked pretty content and focussed, Jaz rambled a lot and was struggling a little at times, but seemed happy at the end.  Was it me or has Jaz been painting Reza and the bass player with his warpaint?  Highlight definately Unspeakable - brilliant. Loved Psyche, MINOG, Frenzy, Majestic. Always going to enjoy seeing them more than most bands these days even when they are not at their best.  Hope next time it is a new set list though.  Had hoped to get backstage afterwards to meet the band but the person concerned and sorting it out had a very bad hangover and was still in bed when we left for Wolvo so that fell through- maybe next time!

Nice to see you again Steve - who was the nutter?  Hope it wasn't me or Pete M?
