Absolutely.

I love that aspect of KJ - the motorik, cyclic groove. Same with PiL, Kraftwerk and that.

I think EDAVORE is a dipped toe in their lagacy, but still with plenty of KJ in there. One of the greatest albums of all time for me!

I can't catalog KJ as industrial, but i can see why some do. The first two albums have a very 'industrial' atmosphere, a lot of machine-like sounds. Besides you could describe their sound as tribal, but is also very, very mechanical... everything is very mechanical in both albums, you can feel some of this vibe in some tracks of "Revelations" like 'The Hum' (very mechanical) and 'We Have Joy' (all the tic-toc). Later the guitar and bass turned more 'organic' while the keyboards and samplers were a lot less 'industrial'.
But i could bet least the first two albums had huge influence in a lot of industrial bands. To me isn't that hard to see, KJ developed that mechanical-industrial sound that later many industrial bands used.

Later, along with the 'boom' of the techno-industrial movement, bands like Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Nitzer Ebb, -to name a few- emerged and were cataloged as that: Industrial. After that many guys described Ministry as industrial, and along with them bands like Killing Joke (Extremities years). That could be another explanation.

Still, i don't see Killing Joke as Industrial, just an influence to that scene.
