Wasn't it just?? Great gig, and great to see so many blasts from the past turn up to watch it too. We all then went & took over the curry house for a couple of hours. Fantastic night out all round...
A shame Lost Playground didn't follow it on Saturday, but we're having a go at recreating the important components of the line-up, by going to see KJ in Caen, NMA & Therapy? in Montivilliers, the KJ in Paris in 3 weeks time.

To be honest her bass playing was the thing that annoyed me the most, so if there is a new bass player I may give them another try at the Manchester gig in December.
Excellent NMA gig on Friday...again. Well worth a 2 hour battle with the M6 motorway.
KJ should take note.
Brian.

They've had Stu West, (English Dogs), on bass since 2004, (when Patricia and Dave's daughter was born). Imo a vast improvement to the sound...

>>Damned enough in the last 20 years, fucking cabaret these days
Spot on.
I was luck enough to see The Damned two or three times circa 78 and they were some the most intense gigs I have ever been to, pure manic. I've still got the fliers from them somewhere. When I see them now it makes me want to cry to see what they have become. Captain threatening to play Happy Talk, Morrison playing 5 notes for every one on the original. Its like some cabaret covers band, a zillion miles from the original band. They have a new bass player ?
I've only ever walked out on two gigs, one was Ash and the other was The Damned a couple of years ago.
Brian.

Sacrilege .
Theres the Damned and Angelic upstarts playing the SBE soon and you
say that theres only ASIA playing there in the future !!!!!
Not only do you like dodgy bands , but you also like a dodgy team that has
Tevez on tick until a big Club comes in for him.
