[kj] LOST SOUNDS (was re: Top 10, post-Y2K)

Unfortunately, like a lot of bands I actually don't think Lost Sounds' 
best stuff is on their MySpace page, but that stuff is not bad. From 
their 1st album -- which I uploaded and put up the URL for in my 
previous post -- Lost Sounds gradually morphed more & more into a 
Wire/Devo kind of thing and away from the dark, gothier, deathrock, back 
metal-influenced sound -- but the first LP, Memphis is Dead, has bits of 
it all, with the organs and macabre atmosphere laid on thick, unlike 
their later stuff, which tried to have more traditional pop structure. 
Even their later stuff isn't horrible, though. But, to me, they started 
off great and slowly slid downhill until their breakup in 2005 ...

But, hey, that's just my opinion,
