[kj] OT: facebook or something similar

This brings up a question that I will ask here.

I have never blogged.  I set up a blogger.com account a while ago for a 
friend and now it looks like you have to have a gmail account?  Is this 
true?

Anyway

I am looking a to create a blog account that I can then have live on real 
web pages.  Basically a way for the client to update the news section at 
their own leisure instead of me doing it (because they are not very web 
savvy).

Does anyone have suggestions for whom is better?
