Do real bands still exist , dont all bands to a certain degree put on an act for the consumer ? Every time that I look into a glossy metal mag, theres just endless pages of fat bald blokes (no offence Rob) with white make-up on , pulling scary faces and making the sign of the devil . And they all try to outdo each other with how scary they can look .
Dont all bands have a certain degree of manufacturedness about them?

Hi Mr. Back!
Yeh, I love them - in fact, it was the first harder-rocking band which
I heard in my life.
And they keep rocking!

I met this awesome German girl here (Wash D.C.) who was doing a stint for her P.H.D. - she was in the music scene and all. I asked her "what about Rammstien"- I could feel my points just going down the drain as soon as it left my mouth.
She wasn't like "What the hell" but basically its like they don't even register- she couldn't even comment good or bad--kind of like maybe how Korn would be here to us- cant bash them and say they are bad, its just like a no comment...
I think I read somewhere (or maybe heard on this list) that they basically were just rocker guys looking to do some band and were looking for a genre to plug into and - they were looking into a "Chili Peppers" template but decided against it- Somehow they came up with the Rammstien bit-
similar to the "Garbage" band who were just A and R people who decided to do a band and just did a paint by numbers look the right way, have the right sound, say the right things type generic alt rock band (or whatever you want to call them)-
though I do like Rammstien I also realize they cant have total heart so It takes a little away from it all...
