[kj] GG Allin

I actually had the opportunity to go see him perform at a now-long- 
defunct venue in the East Village called The Gas Station (this was  
years and years ago, obviously). Because I'm such a pussy, however, I  
relented, and my friend Steve went. That ended up being GG's final  
show -- EVER -- as he shuffled off this mortal coil later that very  
night from an overdose.

Like him or hate him, I cannot recommend the documentary "Hated"  
about dear, departed GG enough. Comedy? Tragedy? High Art? Abject  
degradation? You decide.
