[kj] New Bauhaus Album in '08

Killing Joke will now be forever considered goth (in the under educated) because they appeared on the Goth Soundtrack. The CD from Cleopatra that was associated with a book and DVD (which I thought was a obbious collection with little merit).
There is nothing wrong with goth. But why does Bauhaus and Sisters of Mercy refuse to be part of it now? It may look sillier and there are a lot of silly metal bands that are considered goth. Bela Lugoi's Dead is the antithesis of a goth song. There is nothing more than that. And only a goth band could have created and sung it like they did. Grant it they don't have to play the same style music. They can expand but to say they never were is an insult in a lot of different ways.
For fucks sake Sisters of Mercy COVER Comfortably Numb with smoke machines and white lights blaring. What more can you ask for? Even if Elton John in his 70's costumed glory came out and sang that song, like that it would be hard not to consider (at least that moment) goth. Or maybe they were called Specimen.
Modern day Christian Death is metal. Plain and simple. And bad metal at that. But they consider themselves goth. Droning voices, smoke, doom, etc.
