Absolutely agree that the 'try before you buy' thing is a great aspect
of p2p that I put to use a lot, but I feel with KJ that I need to buy
their stuff. And Colesy, moreso.

So family members' relations have been reduced to cold, hard cash
transactions? That's some family!
In all seriousness, I was being a bit flip. I have mixed feelings about
file sharing. A lot of the bands I like support it. It's a way to "test
drive" a ban to see if you like them, before you buy their merchandise,
t-shirts, go see them ive, etc., all real things that can't be
downloaded or experienced the same way. Some bands don't want you to
find out they suck 'til after they have your money, it seems. I've often
discovered a band online and THEN bought their merch, because I liked
them so much. File sharing can create "buzz" around good stuff, getting
it good attention and press. However, for a band at a Rolling Stones
level of fame, I can see why they wouldn't like it. But, hell, they're
already rich.
