Yes it did but a head (from the private sector) interviewed at the same
time wondered how the BCC chappie could decide for all schools in
Birmingham by stepping out his front door...the BBC interviewer seemed
half asleep at the time and didn't probe.

Rob,  Pete M and I both work for Birmingham City Council and can vouch
for the fact that it has more than its fair share of pratts making
decisions.  I work in Transport - don't get me started on the people
here.  Rumour has it they don't won't to get sued if a child slips -
don't know if that came across on the radio

Birmingham City Council have shut all schools today - their spokesman
was getting a sympathetic ear on Radio 4 this morning, the self
important tosser stated 'I went outside at 6am and decided we should
close all the schools in the city'.

 

Bad for my health to hear assholes at that time of the morning......
