Given that we're exchanging our most precious moments on vinyl, cd or mp3 here:

 

- Joan as Police Woman: "Real Life" - OK, I am an absolute Jeff Buckley fan, and, yes, Joan Wasser was his girlfriend at the time of his death, but this album is just absolutely divine (plus I got it while on honeymoon - so there might be some emotional extra-bonus involved)

- amplifier: "Inside" - Definitely one of my favourite bands at the moment. Three-piece rock from Manchester.

I'm also enjoying the rather ludicrous trainwreck that is the first e.p. by the Horrors -- even though they're a complete fucking ripoff of a bajillion other bands.

		Anyone into Mastodon? Saw them with Tool two weeks ago - though technically brilliant, Tool were shite boring, as opposed to Mastodon. Their new album is brilliant - well, in my opinion.

				Celtic Frost rock! Besides, Martin Ain, their bass player, is one of the coolest motherfuckers on earth. Every Tuesday he hosts a party called 'Karaoke from Hell' in his own club in Zurich. A three piece rock-punk-band plays metal, rock, and punk classics - and everyone is free to grab the mike and feel like a rockstar for 5 minutes. The first night I went there, Danko Jones sang 'Seek and Destroy' - absolutely brilliant.
