 Well Mel , "Jap" is a derogatory (not very nice, that means) term for Japanese, a bit similar to calling a Pakistani a Paki . And Mel, you're the type of person to sit back and laugh at other people enjoying themselves?  Instead of joining in with the Karaoke you just laughed at other people making an effort? 
  Even with you sitting there and laughing at them, they still had the courage to get up there and sing . Why did nt you get up and sing Mel? Not courageous enough? Rather stay in the shadows ridiculing others ?

  i kinda think its a bit cheesy ;-D  but i guess if people are desperate 
for 5 mins of artificial fame,well they would be queing up to demostrate 
there talent or not !!!

    melinda   karaoke--- invented by the japs i think,i onced stayed in a 
place in surfers paradise--queensland--that was above a kareoke place,spent 
alot of time laughing at the japs singing or howling along to outlandish 
tunes,it was an unforgetable exsperience ;-D)))
