I think I've just lost all respect for Javy--I might have been willing to let the 80s synth-crap go, but "Rebel Yell" is truly one of the worst songs of that period (especially considering that Gen X were a decent band...)

Shit! I'm scared as many of the things you guys have listed as "guilty" were not guilty pleasures to me at all: Beastie Boys, U2, Big Country, early Duran Duran... to name a few.

To increase this list i have to mention:

Billy Idol - 'Rebell Yell' (it's great, all of it!)

Ratt (i was a kid when I was into heavy metal, but i still enjoy listening this guys from their first self-titled album to 'Invasion of your Privacy', pretty good musicians)

Talk-Talk - 'It's my Life' (i really like this song a lot!)

A-ha - 'Take On Me', 'Cry Wolf', 'Sun Always Shines on TV' (love the three of them, these are authentique guilty pleasures)

Joe Satriani - 'Surfin' With The Alien' LP

Coldplay (all their albums, not too guilty though, theses guys are good)

Audioslave (their 1st an their 3rd album - but do not feel very guilty to be honest:)

Mecano (a spanish techno-pop 80's band i used to hate when younger but i have discovered recently some pretty nice electro-pop tunes)

Many more, but i'll stop here

Cheers!

Some of mine:

Motley Crue - s/t (this is the one CD they did with John Corabi replacing Vince Neil on vocals. It's really good, i swear to god)

certain U2 songs like Bullet The Blue Sky, some of the stuff off of War, All I Want Is You

the songs I'm With You and Don't Tell Me by Avril Lavigne

a couple of Rage Against the Machine songs

All These Things I've Done by the Killers

I also think Stepping Out is an awesome track and Wichita Lineman is fantastic. So is Rhinestone Cowboy, for that matter, but Wichita Lineman really is something special.

As is Black Coffee.

Guilty Potanga secrets would include bits of Natalie Imbruglia, Dido,

Coldplay, Keane, Willie Nelson & David Meade - all good to work to when I

need to think.

I think Robbie Williams Let Love Be Your Energy is fantastic. I love the

guitars & would love to play it live at some point.

Also Big Country, Ultravox up to Lament & I don't mind early Duran Duran,

although I can't decide if this is just down to nostalgia?

The Connells 74-75

Joe Jackons Stepping Out

Men At Work's 'Land Down Under' never fails to put a smile on my face &

make me feel happy.

Probably my all time favourite song is Glen Campbell's Wichita Lineman.

I didn't know who it was when I first heard it & try as I might to dislike

it I also quite like Take That's Patience.

(Did I say that out loud?)
