Kirk could have just said that he made a genuine mistake , if George (in his Karma Chameleon days) had requested that any given person do him up the wrong en , then  most blokes wouldn't have declined the offer .
  *It was dark, I was drunk..................................* , Would have been an adequate excuse

Boy George alleged it in his autobiography . . I seem to remember Kirk threatened to sue?
