That's a great book! (Smedley Butler's book) -- saw it at the book store 
the other day, in fact!

If you look online just by doing a search of Smedley Butler's name you 
can find a lot of great quotes from the book. The short of it is that he 
felt, as a commanding general, he felt like he was basically a hired 
thug for US business interests. This is no anarcho-punk in patches and 
patchouli, but one of the most decorated US military men ever.
