[kj] OT: Manitoba's Under Fire

This sorta thing seems to be happening everywhere now. Same in Edinburgh... 
"luxury" flats get built next to a venue that's been there for decades... 
the contractors don't soundproof them like they were meant to, then new 
people move in and promptly try and get the venue closed down, with the 
help of our motherfucker Council.
Walked past one of my fave places to both play and see bands on sunday 
night... now a pile of rubble. Soon to be either more luxury flats, another 
upmarket hotel, or more much needed empty office space. Such great gigs as 
New Bomb Turks, Schwartzenegger, Action Swingers, DOA, Headcoats and 
countless others will hopefully haunt the fuckers to take its place.
One day a real rain will come!
