stopping and retuning would be a good idea, sometimes if necessary i
tune between changes on stage while keeping a peddle note going to not
loose momentum, but to do that you have to use a conventional bridge and
tuners. unfortunately, eddie van halen uses locking tuners which makes
tuning on the fly impossible. there is nothing wrong with stopping the
song and saying, "hold up", then fixing the glitch and coming back to
the song. that would have been a much better option than the sound of a
slaughtering of whales hovering over your flag waving singer and your
number one hit.
