[kj] OT : I despair

I remember having drinks with a bunch of ppl I hardly knew, and getting
into a debate about what the saying "don't look a gift horse in the mouth"
actually meant, as if it was up for debate. I simply couldn't get across
that it had a particular meaning, what that meaning was,  the fact that it
wasn't something that everyone was supposed to 'interpret it in your own
way'... some of their ideas about what it actually meant were so daft...
