Well Oliver , some untoward things do happen in sport, although you cannot realistically say that the OJ murder was sports related , the reason why Rap music gets such attention is because of the lyrics and what the lyrics portray.
   Sport doesn't send a violent message out , Sport doesn't glorify drive by shootings and the sexual abuse of Females. Rap music gets the attention because of the messages that it sends out to vulnerable and impressionable young men .
    Sport doesnt preach violence and hate, like music does . That's why music is put under scrutiny and sport isn't
