[kj] OT: worst lyrics awards

Back in the 80's I was involved with a "metal" band . . 
 
I wrote some lyrics, mainly taking the piss out of the way The Cult were going. They didn't go down well with the singer (who was an Astbury wannabe) 
 
My favourites were Love Octopus ("My tentacles are waving for you") and Devil Mamma ("set me on fire, you've got my dick standing up like a spire")
 
The moral of the story being . . it is very easy to write bad metal lyrics :)

my fave naff lyric is from ac/dc's 'touch too much' as it's just so stupid 
"she had the face of an angel smiling with sin, the body of venus - with arms..."

worst lyrics i've heard  recently are the first mr bungle album: squeeze me macaroni
a 12 year old with a lavatorial obsession could have written them
 
also special mention for hilariously bad lyrics : suck by pigface , what a pretentious tosspot trent is

Was enjoying that until they derided Robert Plant. Fair call though. I
think they miss the point with some lyrics which are perhaps a bit tongue
in cheek or playful, childish, fanciful, CREATIVE...whatever.
