sweet--so i am learning alot and it does appear to be a cultural thing, with
A different meaning depending upon where you are in world, the word sweet,is
generally cool and a compliment everywhere in the world apart from the uk
unless one is talking to a kiddy, then it means cute,if said to an adult
famale by a male in uk then as i said yesterday, its just patronising!!!
i will back you up brend ive been to n.z a few times.....
sweet as---and other n.z words i like there phrases,i herd this alot in new
zealand ,and i love hearing those words when i speak to n.zers anywhere in
world ;) plus the auzzys have a few great ones--to easy---for
instance, which does not mean, easy lay btw-- which is what it means in u.k
just one last point on this, the person in question did not say......
sweet as---they said(sweet)and there not from new zealand either ;/
and---sweet as a nut--is not cockney slang at all for anything,but-- runt
is :) !!!
its interesting to get other peoples take on how they use a word, and what
exactly it means,it prevents missunderstandings and i find it very fare from
boring ;)
