"When I saw them in '05, that was also a damn good show but they basically did their show on a bare stage with no props unlike the '98 tour and Murphy frankly looked like he'd aged about 20 years, looked really unkempt with a pot belly and badly bleached scraggly hair complete with a big bald patch."

I call it the Edgar Allan Poe meets a Glam undertaker look........ I read he was very angry at the rest of the band, and felt his looks were being focused on to the exclusion of everything else (yeah, wah wah wah, Murphy). But, I mean, he didn't look that horrific. He even did a runway thing.....look up a video under "Peter Murphy Buckler".....he sang and spiffed himself up more......kind of in keep with my theory that he distorted his looks so much to upset the other members of the band. Whatever. No one is 25 forever.
"He looked somewhat better when I saw them open for Nine Inch Nails a year later but his best days are clearly behind him and he looks like a right twat when he does those goofy goth aerobics moves these days."

Goth moves? All he did when I saw him was swing his jacket.....but then, that band fell apart during this last tour so he could have been hopping around like in the beginning of "the Hunger" for all I know on the first leg.

IMO anyone looks better next to Trent Reznor in 2008..;0 They should make a cardboard cutout of him for insecure peeps.......
