I read a very interesting op/ed piece a while back that said We The People are not anti-war**[nah-nah-nah'!!] but instead are only anti-losing. The people (not just the protesters) never really give a fuck until the scoreboard starts to turn against u.s.
**despite the record prewar
protests, >85% of U.S.A.
badly wanted the iRaq war

True, Karen--people need to hold both Bush and congress accountable for the current war--and congress keeps voting to fund it! It seems like the anti-war rallies get smaller and smaller, but the polls show that more and more people oppose the war...

True, but so is the current president. And until Americans demand that change, it will continue.
Take care,

Carter was of course behind th e "Carter Doctrine", which says the US will do whatever it needs to to control mid-east oil. Now look where we are today. Carter was better before and after he was president...

Hey, Me: With all due respect, I'll take Al Gore any day over the disgrace we have in the White House now. (And I seriously doubt that the U.S. would be in the mess it is today if Gore had been president -- despite his shortcomings.)
Folk devil: While I greatly admire Jimmy Carter's post-presidential career, I can't agree with you about his term as president.
Of course, Carter was the victim of circumstances he couldn't control, and he was too honest for his own good, but I'm afraid he had a tin ear when it came to the country's mood and responding to it.
But again, I'd take him any day over ... (you get my drift, right?) ; )
Have a fine day, folkdevil!

Jimmy Carter, then? Actually, I think he was the best ever US president...

And even in that he's vastly uneducated andrefused to debate with scientists. He's as ball-less as the rest of them. The only green he's familiar withis all the stuff his son smokes. :)Oh yes, and let's not forget his "Carbon Credit" company. He seems to be making a nice chunk of change onthe back of "Global Warming". Ohhhhhh... and what was that about the amount of energy his house uses?Sorry, I can't vote for someone who doesn't practice what he/she preaches.“It is very comforting to believe that leaders who do terrible things are, in fact, mad. That way, all we have to do is make sure we don't put psychotics in high places and we've got the problem solved.” Thomas WolfeSincerely,MeAt 03:33 PM 4/28/2008, you wrote:

Pretty bloody obvious isn't it. Obummer - After he turned his back on his old Pastor, I fucking knew it. Still, it seems that people are easily led. All those so-called liberals & lefties over there are gagging to gulp down those scumbags' cocks, by the yard. Fashionably lefty/liberals, but really just fucking idle maggots who will sign-up for the nearest politically correct candiate that their friends told them to choose. Drones. Obamas blackness is supposed to prove something (because everyone forgot to apply equality) so his skin colour is STILL important to the debate. "Woo, first black president!!" Wow - wait 'til the morons find out we're all the same after all...
I haven't seen anyone worthwhile pop up at these things for years. They're all as bad as Bush as far as I can see...

It's good that some people recognize the imperialist foreign policy intentions of Shrillary and Obamania. Here in the US, they are seen as the 2nd coming of Christ by most people (only commies like me are crticizing them). Their speeches, esp. Obama's, sound like a Christmas list of goodies they say they will give out when elected, even though they could never deliver on most of these promised even if they wanted to.

zOMG, when Hillarious Junk said "Obliterate," that scared me. Doofus Obama was saying, "..invade Pakistan..." [no you won't] like he has no idea** what it would provoke, but Shrillary saying "Obliterate" frightened me, really. I couldn't believe i had just heard that.
And people whisper of a "dream ticket" of the two together...
"Wanna be the Killer of Karachi,
wanna be the Jesus of Youtube..
Let's meet and have a baby, now...."
**raid, attack, even
assault, but... invade?

Brendan, you were always better at the elucidations than I was.
You should be on the official gathering elucidation committee of elucidators.
Cheers,
