AARRGGHHH --- Oliver, you know I'm just bustin' your chops, but I  
always found the "rules and regulations" of Punk/Hardcore to be such a  
major turnoff.

I remember seeing Redd Kross open for D.O.A. and the Circle Jerks at  
the old Ritz on 11th street. They came out in platform heels and  
feather boas with long, long hair and played a medley from "Jesus  
Christ Superstar". All the "punks" in the crowd were throwing ironic  
devil horns (this was about `85) and flipping them off. Then they  
busted into "Linda Blair" and everyone forgot about the length of  
their hair and their stupid clothes.

In terms of having two drummers (or, for that matter, two bass players  
or any other seemingly excessive combination), what could be more punk  
than FLAGRANTLY FLAUNTING ORTHODOXY BY BREAKING THE CONVENTIONAL BAND  
ARRANGEMENT?
