Yeah I see your point...it's entirely possible she has a friend or groupie
or whatever who she judges has the type of musical taste appropriate for
someone who wants to come across all dark, enigmatic and edgy (like us
Gatherers ;), in which case all you need do is cherry-pick the names that
sound right really innit? And all of a sudden you're a unique,
free-thinking, counter-culture, creative, different, vibrant, underground,
special, alternative, 

Then again, I got into KJ through student radio in NZ, albeit when their
profile was pretty big (Millenium was the bait dangled on a 50-pound line,
and I swallowed it right down to the gullet), my background is still largely
rock / metal, there are still a lot of band names that flit through the list
that I have never heard of, and I'm pretty rabid on Killing Joke, so both
possibilities are...possible, I suppose.

No, I came across it when I saw on another forum that ths porn star had 
Death in June as her default music on her webpage, which I thought 
really odd. I went and, yep, there it was. It's since been changed, 
possibly due to complaints. I dunno. then I clicked on her MySpace, saw 
the Paul raven tribute banner, references to late 70s and early 80s UK 
post-punk acts, and even esoteric bands like Current 93 and Psychic TV, 
and was pretty shocked.

But the contention is she only knows about Tool and Ministry or 
something...? I'm not not denying she has some genuine shit mixed in 
with her musical faves: Death From Above 1979? Marilyn Manson. Blegh. 
But someone who knows about Durutti Column, has a Paul raven tribute 
banner, likes Curent 93, and had Death in June as her default webpage 
theme -- yet not knowing about Killing Joke, or liking them -- that'd be 
odd indeed.

I guess anything is possible. I mean, ade mentioned he had friends!
