[kj] [KJ] OT: Derek Jarman & Rhianna...

Anyone see that 'Derek' biopic of Derek Jarman yet? Caught about half of it - there
was a snippet of the film he did, 'After Cease to Exist' that Throbbing Gristle did the
soundtrack for - Gen appeared for, like, 10 seconds talking about Jarman being the
only film maker who didn't want to compromise, which suited TG fine. What a lovely
bloke Jarman was & aside from that, massively influencial on the gay scene & esoteric
music scenes, ie, anything post-TG.

It's amazing how far UK society has come since the end of the 70's.

Well, I didn't spend too long watching the Sh(Br)it Awards, too busy planning how to
kill Ozzy's mrs. But, I thought that live mash-up of Rhianna with The Klaxons was
fucking excellent. Not much else to say about that heap of shit show though.

I always remember Bjork & PJ Harvey doing the Stones' 'Satisfaction' in the early 90's.
Fucking loved that too :)
